As the CEO and Co-founder of Heidi Ho Organics, it is Chef Heidi’s mission to be the cheeze and the change she wishes to see in the world!

Heidi Ho Organics makes delicious, plant-­based cheezes that is both healthier for you and the planet. Heidi wanted to create a line of products using entirely whole, real food ingredients that included vegetables, nuts and seeds, so she did just that. Heidi Ho is now one of the only certified organic cheese alternatives on the market.
Heidi is a fanatic for plant­-based food because it completely saved her life. She was raised on a traditional American diet, and at 20 years old, found herself weighing in at more than 300 pounds. To get her weight to a manageable place, she tried every diet under the sun (including some very extreme ones), but nothing stuck.
Then, she discovered veganism. During her time living on the Big Island of Hawaii, Heidi honed her vegan chef skills in a sustainable community as the manager of an eco­-hostel and organic farm. She had the privilege of training with vegans and raw foodies from all over the world. There, she was also introduced to the spiritual side of veganism, and developed a deeper connection to the ingredients she uses to create her “art.” Heidi loves being a chef because the art she creates stimulates all five senses. Now, a farmers market is her color palette, and the kitchen her canvas.
After Heidi's time in Hawaii, she moved to Portland to obtain a degree in the Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, where she focused on local, organic, and sustainable practices. Today, Heidi's meals are made from mostly whole foods, with a tasty emphasis on Mexican and Indian cuisines.
Through her passion and education, Heidi is committed to ensuring her cheezes, and herself, are part of the sustainable solution and the food revolution!
