Impossible Foods is set out to do the impossible: develop and produce delicious meats that are good for people and the planet. After introducing the Impossible Burger, the scientists are working hard to invent more ways to make the foods we love most – animal-free and therefore cruelty-free. Around 2013, Impossible started to research and identify what makes our food sizzle, smell as well as different bites.
Impossible Foods works to transform the global food system by inventing better ways of producing food. The team consists of scientists, engineers, chefs, farmers, foodies, and friends – a mix of people who wants to change the world. They investigate the molecular basis of food flavours and textures, and discover sustainable new ingredients from nature. With their fresh look at food, they make meat directly from plants.
