Icelandic yogurt company Siggi’s launches new plant-based line

Siggi’s, maker of Icelandic-style yogurt, is debuting its first plant-based recipe. The new yogurt alternatives contain more protein than sugar.
Made with a blend of coconut milk, macadamia nuts, tapioca flour, pea protein and live active cultures, the non-dairy products are sweetened with cane sugar and contain 10 grams of protein, 8 to 9 grams of sugar and 180 to 190 calories per 5.3-oz cup.
“We are really excited to enter the plant-based segment and offer a truly unique product that delivers on what consumers have asked for,” said Carlos Altschul, president and chief executive officer of Siggi’s.
