Bell with new investment in Mosa Meat
The Basel-based company has announced an entry into the field of cultivated meat.
Cultured meat is meat that comes not from slaughtered animals but from cell cultures. The Dutch start-up company Mosa Meat has based its business model on this new food technology.
Bell has announced a stake in the Dutch start-up company Mosa Meat. Bell is contributing 2 million Euros to the next round of financing. Based in Maastricht, Mosa Meat specializes in the production of “cultured beef”. Mosa Meat uses technology developed in-house to grow beef directly from animal cells.
Mosa Meat’s goal is to bring this cultivated beef to market maturity over the next research period by 2021.
