A KFC store in the US tests meatless Beyond chicken—and sells out in 5 hours

A single US KFC restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, testing plant-based Beyond Fried Chicken sold out of the item in just five hours. Long lines of customers began forming at 8 a.m. and supply was quickly drained. The small market test was created to help KFC gauge the interest in faux chicken for a potential wider test and national launch.
And the result again proved the marketing potential associated with plant-based protein items that have taken hold at numerous restaurant chains across the United States, including White Castle, Burger King, Carl’s Jr. and more.
